Cardano (ADA) has achieved significant milestones over its total network 111 million transactions.
To reach a total of 111 million transactions is more than just a symbolic figure. It demonstrates the sustained growth of user activity, increased engagement with distributed apps (DAPPs), and the continued development of Cardano infrastructure. The increase also demonstrates Cardano's ability to handle transactions without severe network congestion or performance issues, indicating that it has been up and running for more than seven years.
According to the latest data, Cardano Network currently supports 2,005 active projects, with 1.33 million delegated wallets indicating a continuing involvement in network staking.

Smart contract deployments are also rising, with 138,996 Plutus scripts and 7,682 Aiken scripts active. The number of Dreps has increased to 1,377 with 976 active, indicating the continued expansion of chain governance. A 27% increase in GitHub commits, reaching 259, shows the strong dedication of the community to Cardano's ecosystem.
According to a recent report from Santiment, Cardano is a stable frontline in development activities, with the ADA team ranked fourth in terms of well-known Github events.
At the time of writing, the ADA fell 1.96% to $0.5719 over the past 24 hours, at $0.5719, in line with the current market slump, but it recaptured the $20 billion mark with a market value of $20.23 billion.
Cardano rethinks the node
Rather than interacting only from the outside, Project Acropolis rethinks Cardano nodes as a live ecosystem where developers can build apps from within.
Started in October 2024 with the Caryatid Framework, Project Acropolis is in the “early explorer stage” to prove that the idea is technically viable.
The Cardanonode today is monolithic. In other words, it's a single, complex system that handles everything in one package. Acropolis organizes this into loosely linked modules that can be communicated over the message bus, combined, matched, and expanded.
