Crypto Exchange's leading Binance has issued key security reminders for Crypto projects, urging them to stay vigilant against fake list agents and fraud.
In an official blog post, Binance said he is aware of bad actors trying to misuse the Binance brand by falsely claiming they are Binance Business Development (BD) employees, official “listing agents” or intermediaries who can secure a list of Binance platforms for a fee.
These claims are fraud, Binance added. Because such a list is never guaranteed. This is because Binance evaluates all projects with merit, taking into account factors such as community demand, market conditions, compliance, project viability, and business model sustainability.
Crypto projects should be aware that Binance will not accept or recognize third-party individuals or agents and will not apply or negotiate a list on their behalf.
Also, rather than collecting application fees, Binance does not charge “list fees” or other fees on the platform itself, as it seeks to list and support promising projects that meet user demand.
From this perspective, anyone who claims to represent or affiliated with payments with any form of fees or tokens before the above conditions are met may be a scam. Additionally, Binance will not contact users via “official email” to list issues or request “list fees” for any channel.
Binance opens crypto payments for 31,000 merchants in South Africa
Over 31,000 merchants will be able to accept Crypto through a new partnership with Zapper, one of South Africa's leading payment providers.
