In December 2025, the free fall of Spot Bitcoin and Spot Ethereum ETFs will end. The sector is again far from booming, but investors are showing renewed interest. At the same time, both classes of products are still struggling to offset the losses of the November 2025 super bear market.
$341M inflows: Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs recover from tough November
By mid-December 2025, US crypto ETFs will show cautious signs of recovery. Both the Bitcoin ETF and the Ethereum ETF have positive inflows over a one-month time frame. The Spot Bitcoin ETF recorded $198 million in inflows in December, according to SoSoValue data.

The most active ETF in December was BlackRock's IBIT. In just 13 days, almost $4 billion was accumulated, increasing the total holdings from $662.6 billion to $70.12 billion.
The total amount of Bitcoin (BTC) allocated by ETFs is over $118 billion worth, which is equivalent to 6.57% of Bitcoin (BTC) net market capitalization.
IBIT funds are responsible for about 60% of this sector, followed by Fidelity's FBTC product and Grayscale's GBTC product.
The Ethereum Spot ETF shows even more impressive movement. In December 2025, it had raised $143.35 million. Here, BlackRock's ETHA outperformed all competitors.
This rally comes after November 2025, which was a disastrous month for Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs.
Cryptocurrency ETF assets under management recover from multi-month lows
In November 2025, the Ethereum ETF scene posted a loss of $1.42 billion, while the Bitcoin ETF recorded an outflow of $3.48 billion. It was the second worst month for Bitcoin ETFs in their two-year history, but it was an unprecedented disaster for Ethereum ETFs.
Investor pessimism was driven by the October 10-11 flash crash, the weak performance of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), and the belief that the cycle has peaked.
At the same time, both Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs are making a gradual recovery. In late November 2025, all indicators fell to their lowest levels since April, but the situation improved slightly in the first half of December.
