Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine and Managing Partner of Fundstrat, is a vocal optimist when it comes to the cryptocurrency market, particularly Bitcoin and Ethereum. Most recently, Fundstrat’s managing partner reinstated the 2026 Ethereum price target of $62,000.
But Lee and his investment firm don't seem to agree on what they expect the market to be like next year. Fundstrat appears to be considering more bearish settings for most large digital assets in 2026, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
Target is $60,000, but Ethereum is not included.

Sean Farrell, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Fundstrat, predicted a significant drawdown in the crypto market in the first half of 2026. The research set a Bitcoin price target of $60,000 to $65,000, an Ethereum price target of between $1,800 and $2,000, and a Solana price target of around $50 to $75.
Farrell wrote in his report:
These levels will provide an attractive opportunity towards the end of the year. Even if this view turns out to be wrong, I prefer to play defense and wait until strength is confirmed.
The circular contrasts with predictions from Tom Lee, Fundstrat's chief investment officer. Li told attendees at Binance Blockchain Week earlier this month that the price could reach up to $62,000 as Ethereum becomes the core infrastructure of tokenized finance.
Speaking at Korea Blockchain Week in September, Lee said Bitcoin's price could reach $250,000 by the end of the year and Ethereum's value could rise towards $12,000. The rationale for this prediction revolved around macro tailwinds and growing institutional investor interest in crypto assets.
Now, as of this writing, Fundstrat's internal document has not yet been certified by , but outlet Wu Blockchain, led by Colin Wu, has verified that the document was indeed distributed to internal customers.
