This partnership enhances the platform's existing capabilities for merchants and PSPs and strengthens ACI's commitment to digital currency innovation. According to current research from ACI Worldwide and Payments Dive, nearly 55% of global retailers are evaluating accepting cryptocurrencies as part of their payments strategy.
Additionally, after integrating with BitPay, ACI will evolve its payment orchestration platform to enable seamless authorization and management of digital currencies such as stablecoins as a strategic partner for traditional payment rails.
Enabling secure cryptocurrency acceptance and payments
In 2021, merchants and PSPs will be able to work with BitPay to access upgraded features with other payment options such as accepting, storing, and using cryptocurrencies. BitPay's platform supports a wide range of use cases, including peer-to-peer payments and mobile POS applications.
