Senior Bitcoin developer Peter Todd made Joker-themed Memocoin shine for $5,000.
Todd, who contributed to the early development of Bitcoin, promoted the “Hahahaha” pump's fun memo coin at X (formerly Twitter) at 6:25 UTC. His post says, “One bad day… One good pump laughs at the road to the moon. #haha.”
He revealed that he was paid $5,000 for the post and that he was not asked to disclose the promotion as an advertisement. But he did it anyway.

Todd also did not do much background checks on who was paying him.
He said that disclosing advertisements is often a legal requirement, and “they didn't negotiate the NDA on the amount they paid, so I had no reason not to disclose it either.”
Immediately after Todd's promotion, the token rose 1500% to $0.00008, before dropping 95% with the typical lag pull of most pumps' fun memecoin. However, about 24 hours later, the memokine promoted by Peter Todd gained great traction, reaching the price of $0.0002, an increase of 3,900%.

Price action for “Haha” market capitalization.

Many onlookers were not impressed with this promotion. Some described it as “sane,” suggesting it lacked “integrity.” Others found it interesting that he disclosed the promotion and described it as a “10/10” move.
