$BNB Chain has introduced infrastructure to identify and verify AI agents on the mainnet and testnet.

How ERC-8004 changes the way AI agents interact $BNB chain?
$BNB In the chain officially announced Deployment of ERC-8004 infrastructure on both BSC mainnet and testnet. This provides a “Trustless Agent” standard, allowing software programs to have their own verifiable identity and reputation on the blockchain.
ERC-8004 is often referred to as the “passport” or “credit score” of AI. Previously, when an AI agent bought something or performed a task on your behalf, other systems had no way of knowing whether it was legitimate. ERC-8004 introduced identity, reputation, and verification registries to solve this.
An identity registry gives every AI agent a unique ID on the blockchain. This ID is an ERC-721 token, the same technology used for NFTs. Being on-chain, other people or smart contracts can check the agent's identity to ensure it is not an imposter. This registry contains a “token URI” that points to a file that describes what the agent can do and how to communicate with it. This makes it easier to find and verify AI agents across the internet.
The reputation registry permanently records agent performance. Once an agent completes a task, the feedback is stored on the blockchain and cannot be changed or deleted.
Validation Registry allows users to check the work of agents using advanced technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs (zk-proofs) and trusted execution environments (TEEs).
$BNB Chain launched BAP-578
$BNB The chain will also launch a new type of standard called BAP-578. $BNB Application proposal to introduce Non-Fungible Agent (NFA).
NFAs can own their own digital wallet. This means that AI agents can keep their own funds and pay for the services they need to complete their jobs. For example, when a user hires an AI agent to plan a trip, the agent can use its own wallet to book flights and hotels. Agents use on-chain identities to prove that they are authorized to spend funds, creating a system that allows software to transact with other software.
$BNB Chain stores are ideal places for this because they have low fees and fast speeds. AI agents often need to perform many small tasks very quickly. If gas prices are too high, the agency's operating costs will be too high.
A company called Fingerprint has launched a new system to detect “certified AI agents.” They are working with leading companies like OpenAI and AWS to help websites differentiate between “good” AI agents and “bad” bots.
Coinbase and Cloudflare also recently highlighted the x402 protocol, which allows agents to make instant payments using stablecoins using older internet code.
