The cooperation between VeChain and Glo Dollar will officially end on January 1, 2026. Glo Dollar, the group behind the USDGLO stablecoin, has confirmed that it will cease all activity on the VeChain network after this date. This marks the end of the partnership that began in March 2025 with the support of VeChain Foundation.
This decision was made after VeChain chose to stop supporting the Glo Dollar initiative. According to Glo Dollar, continuing to integrate without active support is no longer sustainable. The team cited implementation limitations and resource constraints as factors in ending the collaboration.
Although the initial partnership began with common goals regarding sustainability and public interest, the relationship has reached a natural conclusion. Gro Dollar says:
VeChain has decided to discontinue support for our efforts, and as a result we need to dedicate our resources to the supporting ecosystem.
VeFam – Important Notice: $USDGLO will be deprecated on VeChain.
Instead, we will move to $USDC powered by the @wanchain_org ecosystem.

Conversion window for USDGLO holders
With the withdrawal confirmed, token holders are instructed to exchange USDGLO for USDC by the end of 2025. Thanks to the collaboration between VeChain and Wanchain, users will be provided with a powerful alternative. The Glo Dollar team says:
It is worth noting that thanks to the partnership between VeChain and Wanchain, a powerful alternative has emerged, with enhanced operability and the possibility of swapping to USDC.
Individuals holding USDGLO can convert their tokens to Wanchain USDC through BetterSwap’s portal. This swap feature is valid until December 31, 2025. Another route allows holders to trade USDGLO with VET on the same platform during the same period.
US-based organizations have additional options. You can exchange USDGLO to USDC on any blockchain through Brale or an approved OTC partner.
Glo Dollar activity on VeBetterDAO has ended
Shutdown occurs beyond the token level. After January 1, 2026, Glo Dollar will no longer be active on VeBetterDAO either. DAOs were one place where users could use stablecoins to provide liquidity and earn rewards.
Current users can still withdraw the liquidity they previously deposited using BetterSwap. Additionally, all rewards earned before the deadline will continue to be distributed. These are sent to past liquidity providers and stakers and distributed based on past participation data.
Although Vechain Chapter is closing, the Glo Dollar team has made it clear that the project remains committed to its goal of building a stable digital currency that impacts society. The team added:
