Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared the twin goals for the Ethereum Foundation (EF). Maximize usage and ensure network resilience and decentralization.
The initial goal revolves around users benefiting from the underlying properties of Ethereum.
Examples of “meaningful use” include the use of Ethereum-based tokenized assets and the diversified finances for savings, wealth building, and payments. This will solve problems related to unreliable Fiat infrastructure.
Ethereum can also be used for decentralized social media networks, distributed autonomous organizations (DAOs), and decentralized artificial intelligence.
The post, co-authored with Aya Miyaguchi, president of the Ethereum Foundation, also outlined the goal of maximizing Ethereum's resilience. This includes ecosystem autonomy, value adjustment, team diversity, and network robustness. Of course, decentralization remains a critical component, as it eliminates a single control or obstacle.
“EF must change with the ecosystem and adapt to the needs of our communities while maintaining core principles,” the organization says.
