- Fetch.ai has launched the first AI-to-AI payment system using USDC and FET through its platform ASI:One.
- Personal and business AI can now autonomously perform reservations and payments using on-chain transactions and Visa integration.
Fetch.ai announced the first AI-to-AI payment system that enables personal AI to autonomously complete transactions through its proprietary agent AI platform, ASI:One. The system supports Visa payments as well as on-chain transactions using USDC and FET.
In the first live use case, a personal AI built on ASI:One planned a shared dinner, made a reservation through OpenTable, and completed payment while the user was offline.
“Agent payments are the gateway to the AI-first economy,” said Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai. “By enabling AI to transact on our behalf, we are creating a new era in which intelligent agents execute, protect, and deliver real-world value without our intervention.”
This system allows users to assign spending limits to the AI, allowing it to operate when timing is critical while maintaining control. Personal AI can now work autonomously with business AI to perform real-time bookings and payments, and take actions offline with user-authorized funds.
The payment system includes a dedicated AI wallet with user-defined limits, temporary Visa credentials for card payments that do not expose real card details, and on-chain payments using USDC and FET.
The full rollout of AI-to-AI payments is tentatively scheduled for January and will be available to users through ASI:One.
