These lists helped to promote the hype around tokens. Many believed it was the next big meme coin in the summer. But those hopes soon faded. In just a few days, the token's market capitalization plunged from nearly $50 million to just $9.66 million.
Meanwhile, several social media users pointed out that Jack Kay had benefited from the hype regardless. Since its launch, Kay has collected more than $100,000 in transaction fees built directly into smart contracts.

Influencer-based Memecoin has a rather poor track record in terms of reputation and performance. YouTubers Mrbeast, Jake, and Logan Paul, controversial influencer Andrew Tate, and many others have been involved in some sort of controversy regarding Memocoin.
One of the most infamous examples is Logan Paul's NFT project, Cryptozoo. This is a venture that has failed in a venture that has never fulfilled or cost millions of dollars promises, including Paul's own fans.
