KWeather, listed on South Korea's KOSDAQ, has signed a non-binding letter of intent with VivoPower International PLC. Under the partnership, VivoPower will invest approximately US$5 million to acquire a 20% stake in KWeather, making KWeather the second largest shareholder.
The investment proceeds will allow KWeather to purchase VivoPower shares, establishing itself as the first Korean listed company to offer exposure to XRP and potentially Ripple Labs stock. VivoPower holds two of the five seats on KWeather's board of directors.
said Dong Sik Kim, CEO of KWeather.
We are proud to partner with VivoPower to launch a digital asset and blockchain division focused on XRP. We also look forward to welcoming former Ripple Labs director Adam Traidman to our board of directors. This strategy makes us the first and only listed company in South Korea to offer shareholders the opportunity to gain exposure to XRP and potentially Ripple Labs stock.
The collaboration remains subject to standard closing conditions and the parties aim to conclude a definitive agreement by November 30, 2025.
Nice! “KWeather's objective is to become the first and only Korean listed company to offer exposure to #XRP and potential #Ripple Labs stock.” EOM facilitates the signing of the deal.

KWeather and Vivo introduce WeatherCoin
KWeather has appointed Vivo Federation, the digital asset arm of VivoPower, as its exclusive partner for all cryptocurrency and tokenization projects. Together, the companies will introduce WeatherCoin, the world's first token built to support climate risk management and foster innovation in weather-related financial solutions.
Kevin Chin, Executive Chairman of VivoPower, said:
Beyond preparing a digital asset focused on XRP, we look forward to building the WeatherCoin token together as a tool for risk management, among other use cases.
Vivo Federation plans to expand this model globally, acquiring publicly traded companies outside the United States and building a network of organizations that share its vision of decentralized, impact-driven financial solutions.
South Korea ranks high in XRP activity
KWeather accounts for approximately 90% of South Korea's private weather information market. The company has grown from simply providing weather data to operating a broader weather and atmospheric data service model. These include South Korea, which remains one of the most active regions for XRP, both in terms of trading volume and number of holders. The long-term weather and air quality records maintained by KWeather are expected to play a central role in this collaboration.
Meanwhile, XRP fell 5% In the last 24 hours, almost $2.8 While the overall market is in a slump. The token is facing pressure towards the support at $2.25, with the risk of a fall to $2.1 and even $2. Market sentiment is low, but long-term holders see a potential recovery later.
