The US has recently shown increasing urgency in Washington to alleviate aggressive tensions, so it has recently taken aggressive steps to regain China once again in tariff talks.
The US has reached out to China through multiple diplomatic and informal channels in an attempt to resume its speech, sources told Yuyuan Tantian, a social media account affiliated with China's state broadcaster CCTV.
The new push is ongoing discussions with Beijing amid growing signs from President Donald Trump and senior members of his economic and trade team, with analysts suggesting that the frequency and tone of these messages reflect an increasing urgency within the Trump administration.
“From a negotiation perspective, those releasing more frequent updates are usually under more pressure,” said one international trade expert. “Now that side looks like America.”
The Trump administration is reportedly tackling an increasing number of domestic challenges, including economic pain and growing public criticism of its trade policy. These pressures are believed to have heightened Washington's desire to bring China back to the negotiation table.
Meanwhile, analysts say China remains cautious. Sources say Beijing will not return or travel until the US takes concrete steps, rather than relying solely on verbal overtures. However, experts believe that if serious consultations resume, it will be beneficial for China by providing a strategic opportunity to test Washington's true intentions and negotiate from a strength standpoint.
