According to a report from CNBC, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse predicted that the cryptocurrency market will manage to reach new all-time highs this year.
Garlinghouse told CNBC that favorable regulation and institutional implementation will be the main tailwinds that will help realize his prediction.
“I'll keep it on record.”
Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, recently fell back below the $90,000 level. But Garlinghouse dismissed the current bear market and predicted a new lifetime peak.
Garlinghouse told CNBC that he is motivated to set a record by predicting a new all-time high for the leading cryptocurrency in 2026.
Ripple chiefs believe that institutional interest in cryptocurrencies is not fully priced in. Moreover, he is confident that the Clarity Act will be “done.”
XRP Up to $8?
XRP In 2026, it traded quietly in the $1.85-$1.90 range. However, the first week of January saw a huge breakout that overshadowed other major tokens. The token rebounded aggressively to a peak around $2.40 around January 6th.
But this 25% jump didn't last long. The token then entered a two-week correction channel along with the broader market. By January 20th, the price had reversed and found support at around $1.85, the year-to-date price.
Garlinghouse did not mention a specific price target. XRPbut Standard Chartered previously predicted that the token could soar to $8 in 2026 and reach $12.50 by 2028.
