MyEG, a Malaysian e-government and digital service provider, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SGTradex, the national digital infrastructure for the exchange of trade data in Singapore, to promote trade using seamless blockchain between Malaysia and Singapore. Signed by ASEAN-GCC-China CEO Roundtable, the agreement aims to enhance digital connectivity in the ASEAN region by enabling interoperable cross-border digital solutions. Under the MOU, MyEG's Zetrix and SGTradex will consider technical integration to move from paper-based to digital trade flows to create a secure channel for exchanging trade-related data. The collaboration aims to support the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework agreement and promote greater transparency and security in cross-border transactions. The partnership is expected to serve as a foundation for broader regional integration, including potential ties with China and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
