VeChain Kit is a network software development kit (SDK) that allows developers to build front-end applications. It supports most wallets, including WalletConnect and VeWorld, and has React Hooks that allow users to read and write data on VeChainThor.
VeChain Kit v2 comes with a redesigned user interface that prioritizes ease of use. Wallet functionality is now more prominent, making it easier to move between different services. The most used actions are now easily accessible, and developers can also customize the interface to suit their needs.
As the cryptocurrency sector appeals to mainstream users, user interface has become one of the key differentiators for cryptocurrencies. Over the past decade, blockchain applications have been accused of prioritizing the underlying technology over the front-end interface.
Prominent crypto insiders have criticized this approach for focusing on a small market of crypto-savvy users and ignoring a mainstream target of billions. Many, from Kraken's Jesse Powell to Coinbase's Brian Armstrong, have pointed out that security and decentralization are more important than an intuitive user interface for novice users.
Built-in token swap and quick wallet switching
VeChain Kit v2 also comes with built-in token swaps powered by leading decentralized exchanges VeTrade and BetterSwap. According to one developer, these “secure, seamless and efficient” swaps mean the wallet no longer needs to send users to external sites, facilitating DeFi on the VeChain network.

Additionally, users can now switch wallets without disconnecting each time. This will impact everyday users who value the speed and ease of trading. Ultimately, all these updates will make it easier to build on your network.
“We've significantly reduced the size of our bundles and made development builds faster, with a cleaner setup and fewer moving parts. That means less time troubleshooting and more time building.”
